Bandos is one of the oldest and biggest resorts in Maldives. It is a beautiful coral island located in North Male atoll. The star attraction around Bandos resort island are the Manta rays that gather during the months of September and October because this is their mating season. You can also have a look at ribbon eels, frog fish and leaf fish.
In order to promote the challenging sport of diving for its enthusiasts Bandos island resort is providing facilities like diving training, dive shops, dive trips etc. The dive centre here is fully equipped with air conditioned audio visual class rooms, library, hot water showers and spacious storage rooms. The multilingual instructors appointed here are able to conduct courses in English, German, Swiss, Italian, French, Japanese, and Chinese they shall also provide you will all the required teaching materials in your own languages. The courses offered here includes Bubble maker for children, scuba diving, open water diving, rescue diving, adventurous diving etc. This dive center is also noticed as the best in the country.

Traditional Maldivian boat will take you out for diving. This boat will offers two dives in the morning and one in the afternoon but on Fridays there will be only one dive in the morning. The visibility under water here will be very good and allows a view of about 30 meters. The dive sites around Bandos have occasional strong currents and the staff assisting you from the Bandos will first jump and check the current before you dive into the water they will also ensure your safety at the time of experiencing the lush under water gardens, colorful fishes and magnificent seascapes.
